Road trips
Jul. 10th, 2019 09:07 amHusband and I are pretty good at road tripping together. We can handle long drives (more then 6 hours) with minimal needs to stop and pee or walk around. Which is good it means that when the map says it will take 7 hours to drive some where we get there in like 7 hours cause we had one stop that included peeing, getting food and getting gas.
However, we have not done trips longer then like 90 minutes with the kiddo. Now we are talking about doing a 7 hour car trip with the kiddo and I am trying to prep husband that we will probably be making more then just 1 stop along this trip. Which I don't think he gets. I expect a trip that says will take 7 hours of drive time will take closer to 9 hours so that kiddo will be able to have breaks to run around/pee/eat and is thus not a screaming mess in the car. Which is why I don't think it should be up one day and back the next.
Also this trip which has been talked about for months and we both took time off for it. Nothing else has been done. So we will see if we actually manage to make this happen or not.
